HPS updates Panzer Campaigns Budapest '45 and adds new sounds

The HPS Sims crew has been busy getting the Panzer Campaigns folk hard at work on updating the PZC titles to match the newly released Kharkov '43. Just Tuesday a patch for Budapest '45 was released that brings this title in line with the latest release by allowing the addition of sound files for moving units and such.

Included in the patch is one HUGE change which I love:
NOTE: Starting with this version, no CD-check is performed by the main program and all documentation is supported only in PDF format, available from the Help menu in each application.

But that is not the biggest news. Glenn Saunders posted on the Gamesquad Panzer Campaign forums that the new sound files in Kharkov '43 will be available for each Panzer Campaign title that is patched going forward. Here is the low down:
This supplies the new movement sound files being used in Kharkov '43 to the rest of the Panzer Campaigns series' titles as they are patched to the Kharkov '43 version of the series engine. This is a simple zip file. Once downloaded, needs to be extracted to the Media folder of the title you are going to patch. Currently this will only work with the latest Budapest '45 patch (v. 1.02) that was released 7th December 2010 on the HPS site. Important: This patch will work with all of the Panzer Campaigns titles, however *only* with patches dated **7th December 2010 and later.

  1. The following day, Ed "Volcano Man" Williams made a similar patch available for the Modern Campaigns series.

I added a subdomain name- so if you see the links elsewhere they will be in a slightly different format (e.g. http://hist-sdc.com/hps/* or http://www.hist-sdc.com/hps/* -- they all go to the same spot :)
