Cryptic makes state of the game post and realizes the obvious

I just read perhaps the dumbest state of game address ever wherein Cryptic relays to us, the dumb user community, that they were caught off guard at how popular Star Trek would be. Those of us who have played it know that the game is not ready for prime time and I see this message as a clever attempt to cover up everything that will go wrong launch day. Lets take a look at this. Star Trek MMO Gaming nerds around the world Spam and advertising out the ass New Star Trek movie rebooted franchise last May Nah, there is no way in hell this game will be popular right? Cryptic is "stunned" and "crushed" about how popular it is just two weeks before the game goes live. Two weeks. The game goes live February 2nd or the 12th I cannot remember. Does it really matter? Electric Football board has arrived

This week I embark on a journey to make my own rules system and use Electric Football to simulate football games. This will not be an easy task and I have a lot of work ahead of me but it should be fun. Along with the Tudor Deluxe Electric Football board below I have ordered some passing sticks and better looking player models from Buzzball . They specialize in these sort of things. I should also have enough bases coming to tweak entire sets of offense and defense setups the way I like. Ideally you want to have bases that turn, go straight and some that even backup to simulate a QB drop back. I will be using a variety of rules to play the games. My goal eventually is to have a near board game type of football system going on with the random factor of the Electric Football board. Below is a YouTube video I made of a set of Rookie bases (designed to go straight) right out of the package. They actually worked fairly well.

DC Universe Online: how targeting works

Not sure how something as basic as targeting can confuse today's dumbed down MMO crowd but apparently it does. === TARGETING in DCUO === Mouse and Keyboard Default Behavior: If you're using the mouse/keyboard, you can target by using your camera. Whatever character is closest to a position just above your avatar's head becomes the "soft target," identified by a square red reticule. If you steer that over an enemy, he'll light up with the "soft target" reticule. Once you have a soft target, hit TAB to hard lock it. The red square will tighten to a red circle and won't let go until you hit ESC or knock out the enemy. When you have hard lock engaged, you can hit TAB again to cycle to the next target to the left, or you can hit Q to cycle to the next target to the right. When targeting cycling this way, the game first chooses from nearby targets, and if you cycle through all of those, jumps to distant targets. Mouse and Keyboard Options : H...
